Here is the Eagle Nebula. It lives in the Sagittarius Arm of our own Milky Way Galaxy.
I captured 94 thirty second long exposures to create this photo. I also took 10 minutes worth of "dark" images where I use the same ISO and exposure time but take pictures in the same temperature settings with the lens cap on. Yup, 20 pictures of "nothing" that I use to separate the signal of the light from the noise of my camera.
Like the Dumbbell Nebula, I could see the red color immediately in the first picture and was excited to create the final stacked image.
