The Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888) glows in this dramatic image captured 5,000 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus. Formed by the powerful stellar wind from the Wolf-Rayet star WR 136, this cosmic arc is the result of two colliding winds — the fast outflow from a dying star slamming into material it shed hundreds of thousands of years ago. The impact generates shockwaves that heat the gas to millions of degrees, creating the luminous crescent seen here.
This image was captured remotely using a remote controlled telescope under the dark skies of Utah. The data combines broadband and narrowband filters — RGB, Hydrogen-Alpha, and Oxygen-III — stacked from over three hours of total exposure:
🔴 Red – 11 × 120 sec
🟢 Green – 15 × 120 sec
🔵 Blue – 14 × 120 sec
💨 OIII – 12 × 300 sec
🔥 Ha – 9 × 300 sec
Printed directly onto high-gloss aluminum, the result is a vibrant, ultra-detailed metal print with incredible depth and color. The surface reflects light beautifully, bringing the Crescent Nebula’s delicate filaments and glowing arcs to life.
Available sizes:
🪐 8″ × 10″
🪐 11″ × 14″
🪐 12″ × 12″
🪐 16″ × 20″
Each piece is produced on durable, waterproof, and scratch-resistant aluminum — ready to hang and designed to last a lifetime.
✨ Bring the beauty of deep space into your home — a dying star’s final wave, captured forever in metal.
This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
